Grow welcomes Ian Rentsch to the Board
Grow is very happy to announce that Ian Rentsch has joined Grow’s board.
Ian is a Victorian by birth, but completed most of his tertiary education, which included a Bachelor of Social Administration, at Flinders University in South Australia. In 1982 he assumed the position of Director of Lutheran Community Care in Adelaide. In 1992 he moved to Canberra to take up positions as CEO of the YMCA of Canberra, and then as CEO of the Australian Association of Social Workers. In February 2004, he was appointed as the Executive Director of Australian Red Cross ACT Division, and in 2008 he worked for Alzheimer’s Australia. In 2012 he became Executive Director of the Mental Health Community Coalition of ACT and acted as secretariat for the Community Mental Health Australia. In June 2014 he resigned to take up full time study in theology. He now works for the Lutheran Church of Australia as a Coordinator of the Church’s Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence Campaign and as a part-time minister. Over the years he has had voluntary membership on a wide range of boards and committees, including a term as President of the Board of Volunteering Australia.
